Larry is an active Drupal core contributor, including the principle architect of the Drupal 7 database system and the Drupal 8 Web Services Lead. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Drupal Association. Larry holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from DePaul University.

Jeffrey A. "jam" McGuire

jam Jeffrey A. "jam" McGuire, open source strategist, Drupal evangelist, Acquia Manager of Community Affairs.

A longstanding passion for the Drupal project and its community has led to him being active at the intersection between open source software, business, and culture. He is regularly featured as a speaker at events around the world, talking about open source, digital disruption, Drupal and more. This helps satisfy his inner diva, which he also feeds with performances as a storyteller and musician.


Emma Jane Westby

Emma Jane WestbyEducation Development Coordinator

Emma Jane Westby (née Hogbin) is an internationally renowned open source software advocate, technical author, and teacher. In January 2010 she was recognized by The Google Diversity Programme for her efforts in increasing female participation in software development. She is a frequent speaker at open source conferences in Canada, US and Europe and is an active volunteer with several open source projects, including Drupal. In addition to her engaging conference presentations, Emma has also worked as a technical college instructor, has worked on curriculum development for large organizations, and successfully run her own business, Design to Theme, which provided widely acclaimed Drupal training and digital workbooks. Emma has been teaching internet technology since 2002, and is the author of Front End Drupal and Drupal User's Guide.

Emma encourages non-traditional participation in technology through craft and believes that everyone is capable of mastering the tools that surround them. To help engage new ways of participating in technology, she open sourced one of her knitting patterns so that you can make your very own Drupal Socks (as featured in CRAFTzine).

Emma lives with her husband in Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada, where she has run for office in the Green Party, raises bees, and enjoys sipping on a nice single malt scotch.

John Albin

John AlbinJohn is the lead for the Drupal 8 Mobile Initiative and one of the top 30 Drupal contributors to Drupal 7.

He is listed a few times in Drupal’s MAINTAINERS.txt and maintains several well-used contrib projects, including the Zen themeMenu BlockMenu Position, and Fences. John is also the co-author of Drupal 7 Module Development and author of the upcoming O’Reilly book, Sass and Compass.



MortenDKmortendk has been in love with Drupal since 4.7. He runs the finest Drupal theming & design shop in copenhagen: geek Röyale.  
He's known for his open mouth, & an extreme love for remodeling the Drupal markup no matter what the cost & making sure that theres a party somewhere.
When he's not teaching his 3 year old daughter about Helvetica, the wonders of designing websites he makes fine Drupal merchandise & rants about the state of markup in Drupal.
