Registration day info for delegates and speakers

Just a few days to go until we're underway so we've added some important registration and function info to ensure you get the most out of your DrupalSouth experience.. Additional venue and conference information will be provided after the keynote address on Saturday 15 February.

Venue details

A reminder that the conference venue has moved from the Amora hotel to Te Papa Tongarewa - the Museum of New Zealand. The Museum is located on the Wellington waterfront and is a short 5-10 minute walk from the Amora. 

Te Papa is approx. 21min  by bus from the Wellington airport. The 91 bus ("Airport Flyer") departs every 10-20 minutes from the airport.

The Te Papa website includes information on travel options to the venue, parking and conference spaces. We encourage you to become familiar with Te Papa as it is relatively large. There will be signs and venue staff who can direct you to conference rooms if required.

Conference registration

All delegates are required to register before attending conference events including the Business Day and Code Sprint. Registration will take place in the Oceania Room (Level 3, Te Papa) between 8-9:30AM on Friday and Saturday and 8-9:00AM on Sunday. Te Papa staff and signage will point you in the right direction on the day. You will receive your conference bag and lanyard which you will need to keep with you to access conference areas. We also recommend also bringing your conference ticket and/or a photo ID with you. 

The Saturday conference start kicks off at 8:30AM sharp at the Te Papa Marae on Level 4. Please arrive early to find your seat.
Registration opens up at Te Mare in Te Papa from 8am.

Training Sessions

Drupal in a Day training on Fri 14 takes place at Te Papa. If you are attending the training sessions on the Monday and Wednesday following the conference please confirm venue and other details when you register.

Code Sprint

The Code sprint runs Friday 14  9am - 5pm. Room locations for the code sprint including coding lounges will be provided  at the registration desk.

 

Internet and power access

WiFi will be provided at the venue for attendees from Friday 8:00AM to Sunday 5;00PM. A WiFi password will be provided at the registration desk. Power hot points will be available at various locations around the venue. International visitors may need to purchase a travel power adaptor (NZ uses  240V AC power). Australian plugs are identical to those used in NZ.

For flexible data access we recommend purchasing a prepaid mobile sim card (either for handset tethering or as a USB access dongle). 3G and 4G data and voice options are available from a range of vendors including:
